Day 3: The road to Seattle
I didn’t leave the ship when we pulled into Nanaimoor Victoria. Truth be told, I’ve been there before when I was younger and I opted to explore the ship and participate in some of the onboard eents.
I stuck around for the team trivia events and snuck in with a middle aged couple. I was expecting questions relating to history, politics , geography or science. Something that was intellectually stimulating or even a bit of culture. Instead we were stuck with Entertainment trivia. Msybe over half the names or titles featured were way before my time. The theme was animals. Questions like “Eddie Murphy discovered he could talk to animals in this movie.
Dr. Doolitle!
“This movie featured a young boy and a bear named Baloo”
The jungle book
I contributed 2 out of the 20 questions but we were no where near close.
After that was country line dancing! The dance floor was packed. Some people were trying to follow along on the sides amongst the chairs. I learned the Canadian stomp but it was a little messy to keep up with the watermelon shuffle
i would have gone to cha cha and salsa but i didn’t want to go alone. Too shy
. Oh well, next time (maybe).
The night then started with a delicious dinner at the French themed La Bistro. Everyone suited up with their dresses and collared shirts and the like. Tepted to go for the salmon. Or the rib eye, but then I had rib eye two nights in a row already. Selected the lamb instead.
However, I think Vince had the right idea when he said next time he’s just going to go don the list when it comes to appetizers and skip the main. The French Onion soup was the best I’ve had yet.

Hi, I'm Matt. I'm a gamer (World of Warcraft) but when I'm not playing, I'm busy writing. Whatever I'm not writing professionally for will end up here. I don't share much of "me" on my other projects, so this place is the closest you'll get to knowing "me". Not Matt the gamer, Matt the writer, or Matt the foodie. Just Matt.
